Amazing

are the works of Your hand my Lord

From the heavens to the depths of the oceans

Your work I see

With hands that created mighty mountains

You reach out to me

With hands that have shaped the world, the nations

You hold me

With those very hands that have done wonders

You hold me

With those nail pierced hand

You wipe my tears

I am small, but my Lord, my God, You are great

So with humble hands lifted up I give You all the praise

The LORD is my Light and my Salvation

The LORDis my light and my salvation." Here is personal interest: "my light," "my salvation"; the soul is assured of it, and therefore declares it boldly. Into the soul at the new birth, divine light is poured as the forerunner of salvation; where there is not enough light to reveal our own darkness and to make us long for the Lord Jesus, there is no evidence of salvation.

After conversion our God is our joy, comfort, guide, teacher, and in every sense our light: He is light within us, light around us, light reflected from us, and light to be revealed to us. Note, it does not just say that the Lord gives light, but that He is light; nor that He gives salvation, but that He is salvation; so, then, whoever by faith has laid hold upon God has all the covenant blessings in their possession. Once this fact is assured, the deduction from it is put in the form of a question, "Whom shall I fear?"

A question that is its own answer. The powers of darkness are not to be feared, for the Lord, our light, destroys them; and we need not dread the damnation of hell, for the Lord is our salvation.

This is a very different challenge from that of boastful Goliath, for it rests not upon the conceited vigor of human strength, but upon the real power of the omnipotent I AM. "The LORDis the stronghold of my life." Here is a third glowing quality showing that the writer's hope was fastened with a threefold cord that could not be broken. It is no surprise that we accumulate terms of praise where the Lord lavishes deeds of grace.

Our life derives all its strength from God; and if He deigns to make us strong, we cannot be weakened by all the cunning movements of our adversary. "Whom shall I fear?"

The bold question looks into the future as well as the present. "If God is for us, who can be against us,"1either now or in time to come?

Ambassador for Christ

Ambassador for Christ

@Gloria Copeland

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ.... – 2 Corinthians 5:20

You are an ambassador for Christ! If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you have been sent to act as a representative for Him in this world. Just as nations send ambassadors to represent their interests in other countries, you've been sent here to look after the interests of the kingdom of God.

Think about that. Everywhere you go you are representing the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That's a very high honor. It may also seem like a rather tall bill to fill. But God has equipped you to do it. He's given you His Name and the power of His Word. He's even put His very own Spirit inside you. And He's given you the ability to hear and obey the directions of that Spirit.

I heard a prophecy years ago that said there would come a time when men on the earth would walk and talk and act like God. They'd be motivated by His power and His Spirit so strongly that people would say of them, "Look at those believers. They think they're God." "No," the Holy Spirit said, "they are not God. They are agents of God, children of God, ambassadors of God, sent to do the works of God."

I believe we're living in the day and hour that prophecy was talking about. We're seeing that army of light begin to grow.

This is no time to be half-consecrated and half-dedicated. This is the time to go all the way with God, to give Him your whole life. If you'll do that, He'll give you back such anointing and such power and such glory and goodness that you'll shine for Him, as Philippians 2:15 says, as lights in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.

Begin to think about yourself today, not as just another ordinary man or woman but as an ambassador of Almighty God. Let the interests of His kingdom be foremost in your mind and heart. Submit yourself to Him and say, "Lord, show me how to be Your representative in everything I do."

You are an ambassador for Christ. Begin to live like it today.

Lord I thirst for You

I Thirst for You

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock… (Rev. 3, 20)

Jesus Crucified

It is true. I stand at the door of your heart, day and night. Even when you are not listening, even when you doubt it could be Me, I am there. I await even the smallest sign of your response, even the least whispered invitation that will allow Me to enter.

And I want you to know that whenever you invite Me, I do come – always, without fail. Silent and unseen I come, but with infinite power and love, and bringing the many gifts of My Spirit. I come with My mercy, with My desire to forgive and heal you, and with a love for you beyond your comprehension – a love every bit as great as the love I have received from the Father ("As much as the Father has loved me, I have loved you…" (Jn. 15:10) I come - longing to console you and give you strength, to lift you up and bind all your wounds. I bring you My light, to dispel your darkness and all your doubts. I come with My power, that I might carry you and all your burdens; with My grace, to touch your heart and transform your life; and My peace I give to still your soul.

I know you through and through. I know everything about you. The very hairs of your head I have numbered. Nothing in your life is unimportant to Me. I have followed you through the years, and I have always loved you – even in your wanderings. I know every one of your problems. I know your needs and your worries. And yes, I know all your sins. But I tell you again that I love you – not for what you have or haven’t done – I love you for you, for the beauty and dignity My Father gave you by creating you in His own image. It is a dignity you have often forgotten, a beauty you have tarnished by sin. But I love you as you are, and I have shed My Blood to win you back. If you only ask Me with faith, My grace will touch all that needs changing in your life, and I will give you the strength to free yourself from sin and all its destructive power.

I know what is in your heart – I know your loneliness and all your hurts – the rejections, the judgments, the humiliations, I carried it all before you. And I carried it all for you, so you might share My strength and victory. I know especially your need for love – how you are thirsting to be loved and cherished. But how often have you thirsted in vain, by seeking that love selfishly, striving to fill the emptiness inside you with passing pleasures – with the even greater emptiness of sin. Do you thirst for love? "Come to Me all you who thirst…" (Jn. 7: 37). I will satisfy you and fill you. Do you thirst to be cherished? I cherish you more than you can imagine – to the point of dying on a cross for you.

I Thirst for You. Yes, that is the only way to even begin to describe My love for you. I THIRST FOR YOU. I thirst to love you and to be loved by you – that is how precious you are to Me. I THIRST FOR YOU. Come to Me, and I will fill your heart and heal your wounds. I will make you a new creation, and give you peace, even in all your trials I THIRST FOR YOU. You must never doubt My mercy, My acceptance of you, My desire to forgive, My longing to bless you and live My life in you. I THIRST FOR YOU. If you feel unimportant in the eyes of the world, that matters not at all. For Me, there is no one any more important in the entire world than you. I THIRST FOR YOU. Open to Me, come to Me, thirst for Me, give me your life – and I will prove to you how important you are to My Heart.

Don’t you realize that My Father already has a perfect plan to transform your life, beginning from this moment? Trust in Me. Ask Me every day to enter and take charge of your life. – and I will. I promise you before My Father in heaven that I will work miracles in your life. Why would I do this? Because I THIRST FOR YOU. All I ask of you is that you entrust yourself to Me completely. I will do all the rest.

Even now I behold the place My Father has prepared for you in My Kingdom. Remember that you are a pilgrim in this life, on a journey home. Sin can never satisfy you, or bring the peace you seek. All that you have sought outside of Me has only left you more empty, so do not cling to the things of this life. Above all, do not run from Me when you fall. Come to Me without delay. When you give Me your sins, you gave Me the joy of being your Savior. There is nothing I cannot forgive and heal; so come now, and unburden your soul.

No matter how far you may wander, no matter how often you forget Me, no matter how many crosses you may bear in this life; there is one thing I want you to always remember, one thing that will never change. I THIRST FOR YOU – just as you are. You don’t need to change to believe in My love, for it will be your belief in My love that will change you. You forget Me, and yet I am seeking you every moment of the day – standing at the door of your heart and knocking. Do you find this hard to believe? Then look at the cross, look at My Heart that was pierced for you. Have you not understood My cross? Then listen again to the words I spoke there – for they tell you clearly why I endured all this for you: "I THIRST…"(Jn 19: 28). Yes, I thirst for you – as the rest of the psalm – verse I was praying says of Me: "I looked for love, and I found none…" (Ps. 69: 20). All your life I have been looking for your love – I have never stopped seeking to love you and be loved by you. You have tried many other things in your search for happiness; why not try opening your heart to Me, right now, more than you ever have before.

Whenever you do open the door of your heart, whenever you come close enough, you will hear Me say to you again and again, not in mere human words but in spirit. "No matter what you have done, I love you for your own sake Come to Me with your misery and your sins, with your troubles and needs, and with all your longing to be loved. I stand at the door of your heart and knock. Open to Me, for I THIRST FOR YOU…"

"Jesus is God, therefore His love, His Thirst, is infinite. He the creator of the universe,

asked for the love of His creatures.

He thirst for our love… These words:

‘I Thirst’ –

Do they echo in our souls?”

A Prayer for Our Government (2)

A Prayer for Our Government

First Timothy 2:1-3 says that we are to pray, intercede and give thanks for kings and all people in authority. This is God’s command to every believer today. Praying for godly leaders is productive toward God’s plan and purpose for our nation. The Bible says the heart of a king is in the hand of the Lord. He can turn it however He wants, so your prayers are important. Here is a confession for you to use in prayer for our nation and its leaders. Pray it in faith, believing, and remember God watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12, The Amplified Bible).

Father, I bring the needs of our government before You and ask You to bless our nation through godly leaders. I magnify the Name of Jesus and declare that He is Lord over this nation.

Father, I pray according to 1 Timothy 2:1-3 which says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.”

I pray, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, for our president, the vice president, all the Cabinet and the chief justice and associate justices of the Supreme Court to receive the wisdom of God, to act in obedience to that wisdom and for the power of God to flow in their lives.

I pray for the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives to find Your peace and direction, and for these men and women to act and lead according to Your Word. A house divided against itself cannot stand, therefore, I pray for them to be unified in righteousness for the sake of the nation.

I pray for Your protection to cover all our law enforcement officers and the men and women of the military. I ask for godly counsel and wisdom for judges across this land. In the Name of Jesus, I pray that You and your kingdom of righteousness be manifested in the hearts of all those who are in authority in any way.

Father, Your Word says to pray for the peace of Jerusalem because those that love Jerusalem shall prosper. Lord Jesus, because You love Jerusalem and wept over it, I love it also. I pray for Jerusalem to receive the Shalom of God, which brings wholeness—nothing missing, nothing broken. I pray that no leader of our nation will make any decision that will harm Jerusalem in any way. And in the Name of Jesus, I pray that You reveal Your perfect will to all the leaders of Israel. I ask You, Lord, to reveal Yourself to each person. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayers that are in accordance to Your will. I receive the answers, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Prayer For Our Government (1)

Today we have election in the Netherland

It's time for us all to pray for our government. I don't say this because of who is being elected but because those who are being elected need the hand of God on them. I write this not yet knowing who has been elected or what it means. But, I think it's time for us all to pray for our government.

Though, I do have some reasons to pray. This past congress has been criticized as being bad and lazy. Congress people from all walks have gotten in trouble. Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal parts of congress have all done bad things and gotten caught. We need to pray that we get less corrupt leaders.

Lord, creator and sustainer of all that we have thank you for being you and giving us your grace. Please guide our political leaders in the direction you would have them go. Remove temptation from their path and give them the will to stand up for what is important to you. I humbly ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

A Prayer for the Body of Christ

One evening, I was meditating on the Body of Christ. Paul says:

“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free–and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, ‘Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.” (1 Corinthians 12:12–20)

Yet, when I reflected on the Church of Christ in its entirety, spread out across the planet and across 20 centuries of time, there were so many of us:

“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” (Revelation 7:9)

Furthermore, each of us played such a small part in the entire story, that not even an Augustine, an Aquinas, a Calvin, or a Wesley could be thought of as an entire hand, or an entire eye. But what part did we then play in the Body of Christ? It seemed to me that we were like the myriad cells of the human body: each different, yet each a development of the same basic DNA blueprint, each a living thing on its own, and yet each unable to survive independently. For a moment I could almost see this multitude of cells before me, as if in a vision, and I thanked God for the splendour of the image.

And it seemed to me that some of us were like red blood cells. Just as red blood cells carry oxygen—without which our cells cannot survive—to every part of our body, so some Christians carry encouragement to every member of the Church, sharing an awareness of God’s love through their actions.

Lord, bless these people in their work, and give them the energy to reach all of Your children, even the most isolated. As Paul prayed for the Thessalonians, may their love “increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else.” And grant them also regular opportunities to recharge their own sense of Your love. Through Christ our Head, Amen.

Others of us seemed to be like muscle cells, working together to move the arms and legs, so that the Church can walk out into the world, and can reach out helping hands to those in need.

Lord, grant these people the grace to carry out their tasks with joy. As Paul prayed for the Colossians, let them be “strengthened with all power” according to Your glorious might, “bearing fruit in every good work.” May Your love shine out through the love of the Church in action. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

And again it seemed that others of us were like skin cells—the interface between the Church and the world—and so subject to the abrasion of dust and thorns from outside.

Lord, as Paul prayed for the Ephesians, strengthen them with power through Your Spirit, and let them be “rooted and established in love.” And so let them not fall away under the stresses of the outside world, but may they instead show forth the glow of a healthy Body. Through Christ our Head, Amen.

It seemed also that some of us were like the sensory cells of the nose, or the retina of the eye, alert to the smell of danger far away, or to the sight of help needed close at hand.

Lord, as Paul also prayed for the Ephesians, grant them the “Spirit of wisdom and revelation,” and enlighten their hearts. Let them have a true vision of what is happening around them, and grant that the Church may respond to the problems that they detect before it is too late. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Some of us seemed to be like the memory cells of the brain, remembering the truths of Your Word and the lessons that the Church has learned in the past.

Lord, as Paul prayed for the Philippians, may their love “abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.” Grant that they may know the truth accurately, without introducing distortions of their own making, and that the truth may be applied wisely to what is going on around us. Through Christ our Head, Amen.

And finally it seemed to me that the whole Body was held together and inspired by the Spirit of God, without which none of the parts could function.

Lord, let us never lose Your Spirit, but let us stay constantly in touch with Your Love and Your Light and Your Life, without which no part of the Body can survive, and let Your Life and Light and Love shine out from us to the world outside. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen.

Praying for Family, Friends & Neighbors

Praying for Family, Friends & Neighbors

In following the part of the "Great Commandment" to "love our neighbors as we love ourselves," we have learned that praying for our family, friends and neighbors is one sign of that love. The suggestions below will help guide your prayer:

1. Pray for the Father to draw them to Jesus, for “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him” (John 6:44). Pray that God’s Kingdom would come and His will be done in their life.

2. Pray that God would lift the veil Satan has placed over them and open their eyes to see the Light — Jesus, for “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Bind the activities of Satan and bind all wicked deceptions, thoughts and lies Satan would try to place in their mind. Bind anything that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God, specifically pride and rebellion. Pray that God would reveal to them the truth about Jesus and protect them from the lies of Satan.

3. Pray that the Holy Spirit would help them understand the gospel and that Satan would be bound from stealing the seed sown in their hearts, for “When anyone hears the message about the Kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart” (Matthew 13:19). Pray that God would reveal to them the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ.

4. Pray for God to give them a spirit of repentance, for “The Lord … is patient, not wanting anyone to perish …, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Pray that God would show them their own sinfulness in comparison with the righteousness of Jesus. Pray for them to want to take down all known strongholds, thought patterns, opinions on religion, materialism, fear.

5. Pray for God to give them faith, for “God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3), and that they would believe in Him and receive eternal life. Pray that God would reveal to them the good news of the Kingdom of God, which brings peace (reconciliation) with God.

6. Pray for the Holy Spirit to hover over them and protect them and for God to send angels to minister to them and protect them from every scheme of the enemy. Pray for godly people to be in their pathway each day.

7. Bless your family, friends and neighbors by praying:

B Lord, may they be blessed with food, clothing, health, strength, fitness and protection. May they learn to trust in You for their every need as they seek first the Kingdom of God.

L Lord, may they be blessed with good jobs, income and financial security. May they become aware of their inheritance which will come from You.

E Lord, may they be blessed with joy, peace and hope. May they know the Prince of Peace that reconciles them to God.

S Lord, may they be blessed with a good marriage, family, friends, love and forgiveness. Give them a network of supportive Christian friends and many good relationships.

S Lord, may they be blessed with salvation, spiritual growth, grace and faith. May they understand how good You are and they can take refuge in You. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

8. Thank the Lord that we can: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7).

9. Thank Him that He says: “I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My Name, and I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

10. Ask Him to remove any doubt you have, for He says: “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:23-24).

11. Pray in agreement with others for your family, friends and neighbors, for Jesus says: “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven” (Matthew 18:19).

Proclamation for Protection

Posted by My Beloved's Worship Garden on June 9, 2010 at 3:55 AM Comments comments (0)

The following proclamation was written by Derek and Ruth Prince and used by them for many years before they went to be with the Lord. Mike and Becky have prayed this every night for many years and have found that believing the truth of James 4:7 ("Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.") and acting on this truth has resulted in them experiencing healing and victory in many areas of their lives. We would encourage you to use it as a declaration of the Lord's faithfulness and protection. As you place your trust in God's Word, having submitted to Him as Lord, you will experience healing and victory, as well.

Proclamation for Protection

No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper and every tongue which rises against me in judgment I do condemn. This is my heritage as a servant of the Lord and my righteousness is from You, O Lord of Hosts. If there are those who have been speaking or praying against me, or seeking harm or evil to me, or who have rejected me, I forgive them and, having forgiven them, I bless them in the Name of the Lord.

Now I declare, O Lord, that You and You alone are my God, and besides You there is no other ― a just God and a Savior, the Father, the Son and the Spirit ― and I worship You!

I submit myself afresh to you today in unreserved obedience. Having submitted to You, Lord, I do as Your Word directs. I resist the devil: all his pressures, his attacks, his deceptions, every instrument or agent he would seek to use against me. I do not submit! I resist him, drive him from me and exclude him from me in the Name of Jesus. Specifically, I reject and repel:

infirmity                         pain

infection                        inflammation

malignancies                 allergies

viruses                          every form of witchcraft

Finally, Lord, I thank You that through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, I have passed out from under the curse and entered into the blessing of Abraham whom You blessed in all things:

exaltation                     health

reproductiveness          prosperity

victory                         God's favor

Amen.
