August 2010

God has given us powerful weapons of warfare that are mighty through His Spirit. He made us with the power to speak, shout and make sound that tears down the powers of darkness. When our lives are lived with pure hearts in His presence there is nothing that can stand against the glory of God released through us.

Creative Power

Everything God has made in creation is original and diverse in it's own way. We can look at everything He made and see the beauty in it both individually and as a whole. If all the things He made looked the same it would be very boring picture. But God knows what He is doing. He is the author and creator of life making all things good by the power of voice. The Voice of the Lord is powerful bringing all things into existence.

Being created in the image of God we too have creative power. We hold the ability to transform atmospheres, speak things into existence and cause life to come forth by the power of the Holy Spirit that lives within us. Our tongue is one of the most powerful forces that we have in our human make-up.

James 3:6

"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell."

The human tongue is a "world of iniquity". But we know that was not the case with Jesus. When Jesus spoke it was releasing the "world of glory". When Jesus spoke the glory realm of God was released and caused life to come forth in every place He spoke. Our tongue is a powerful force the devil has no ability to contradict. Just as John states, "When God spoke light was released and the darkness could not comprehend it." The powers of darkness cannot compete with the "world of glory" that is released through abandoned vessels of the Kingdom of God! He who is in us is much, much greater than he who is in this world. The power of the Glory of God wipes out every resistance and leaves the enemy whimpering on the floor.

Clean Vessels

Understanding the power of our tongue we need to realize how important it is for us to be in alignment with the right kingdom. If God's people are speaking foolishness, gossip and talking about other behind their backs they are empowering darkness and in sin as well bringing themselves into bondage. The goal of the enemy is to bring division in the Body of Christ. There is no excuse for speaking about others in a negative manner. Our call is to honor others. This does not mean we agree on everything, but we need to have enough decency to keep our mouths silent. If anyone has been caught in this trespass then the cure is "be quick to repent". Repentance is more powerful than apology. We can say we are sorry all day long. It is better to just change directions. This is the fruit of our repentance. We are to be in line with Jesus who ever lives to intercede for all the saints

Hebrews 7:25

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

The Priestly Life

It is our priestly responsibility to stay pure without compromise before the Lord. We are a kingdom of priests that must wear the golden band across our minds that says, "HOLINESS TO THE LORD". It has not changed. It is this dedication, commitment and integrity that will cause the substance of His power to be released in us and through us.

It is His grace that makes us His priests. It is our purity that enables us to carry His glory and release that glory of His presence in the longevity of time. We must go higher and deeper. A tree will only last so long if grows high and it's roots are shallow. That tree will come falling down dead. It is the same way with His glory. If our roots don't go deeper into Him while our experiences take us into the heavens we will come crashing down. Integrity, purity and selfless devotion are not an option for us. They are mandatory. Jesus could do nothing apart from the Father. His devotion to Him was pure and lacked nothing.

You Are a Trumpet!

Numbers 10:8-9

"And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies."

The priests were commanded to blow the trumpets in battle. Through this the Lord would grant them victory. There is power in the priestly life where we can release our voice like a trumpet and see the Lord wipe out our enemies. Our bodies are created much like a speaker cabinet. We have a bass woofer and a tweeter. The power comes from the bass woofer, the belly & chest area. The tweeter is our nasal area. Not a lot of power in the nasals. Still, a little goes a long way and it is needed. But from deep within our spirit we can release a sound that breaks the power of darkness.

Psalms 149:6

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Lifting the high praise is like blowing the trumpet of your being. When are our hearts and motives are pure there is a glorious release that can occur as we lift our voices like trumpets! See your enemy, see your resistance, see the thing that you need to overcome, see the breakthrough that you need and begin to lift your voice as a trumpet in praise to God over these things!

Oh, My children, I would say unto you, that you are in the inner recesses of My heart, and that I am in the inner recesses of your hearts. I want you to remember the complete victory of the Cross. From a place of Ultimate suffering, sprang spiritual gold, and springs of living water, gold, silver, rubies and diamonds, precious stones, everlasting life, all in the Spirit. These priceless gifts came from My heart of love for you, for you, for you. Know, know, know, that on that day--don’t forget--that the veil in the temple in Jerusalem was rent from top to bottom by My Father, signifying the salvation of My Son, Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life. Before I rent the veil, there was no access to My Presence for all mankind. You were without, because of your sin. Now you are one new man in Christ Jesus, the Lord, through faith in Him.

This truth is extremely important for you to know and remember. By the Blood of the Lamb, you can come into the Holy of Holies, and, O, now that the price is paid, everyone who will, whosoever will, can come into the holy of holies with Me, where the Way has been opened by My Son. And do not forget My children, My precious children, that I have also come into the inner recesses of your heart. You are the temple of the Holy Ghost. You are now where the Shekinah glory of My Father dwells. The hearts of all, who have been born again by the Blood of My Son, make up the holy of holies, by My indwelling glory, in My family, both in heaven and in earth.

You have been cleansed, and your hearts have been re-created by the New Birth.

You are a suitable temple now, by the Blood of the Lamb, a temple, a house in which I dwell, a house of lively stones, with whom I have built Myself a habitation of the Holy Spirit. Moses’ temple and Solomon’s temple were pictures of what I was going to do in you and for you. Now the holy of holies is in your heart by the Holy Spirit. I am underscoring this, and you may feel that I’m saying this more times than is necessary. But it’s necessary, lest you forget, it’s necessary that you know that you know that you know that I dwell in you and you dwell in Me. You must know this with your heart, you must know it with your heart, not just with your head. Ask Me, and I will reveal this truth to your heart. I will lead you into all truth by the Holy Spirit. I will write My Word upon your heart. You will walk in places where you have never walked before, when you understand this revelation with your heart. You will walk on the King’s Highway, you will walk with Me, not up and down, in and out, but you will walk with Me, even as Enoch did. You will desire the secret place with Me, and I will meet you there.

Holy Place

Luke 10:39-42

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

The Holy Place

How precious is the Holy Place with God in our lives? How easily distracted are we to so quickly leave that place before God. When we are in the middle of communion with God do we allow things to easily pull us away from that place? Martha was distracted with much serving and many things to do. Because of this she becomes the vehicle that the devil used to try to pull Mary out of that secret place with God. Can you see it? The Lord was physically there to correct Martha and defend Mary’s position before Him. We must now see Him doing that with us as we are spending that time before Him. The Lord loves it when we just want to sit at His feet and hear His words. These are those holy times that we have before Him. It is not for us to allow anything to distract us from this place.

Psalm 27:4

One thing I have desired of the LORD,

That will I seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD

All the days of my life,

To behold the beauty of the LORD,

And to inquire in His temple.

There must be an honor given to the Lord when we are in this place of holy communication with Him. Just like you would not allow anyone to cut off your conversation that you are having with someone else. There is a wholly necessary need to honor our communication with the Lord, not to be distracted into other things and miss the good words that He eagerly desires to speak to us. This world is full of distractions and noise that tries to clog our hearing of the voice of the Lord. So it is essential that we make room for Him continually.

Isaiah 32:17-18

The work of righteousness will be peace,

And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.

18 My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation,

In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Always take time to quiet things down. Don’t get into a busybody ministry mindset. God is not hyped up about what you are going to do for Him. Although He is expectant about what He can do through you when you lay your life down at His feet spending time with Him. This means allowing Him to fill us up with His Spirit, wisdom and revelation. Busyness does not equal productivity. The most productive place is on your face before Him! Constant connectivity is what He is after. Every day is new and we must start off fresh each day with Him. Then we maintain that connection throughout the day. It is a life of devotion. The simplicity of devotion to Jesus Christ is maintained by continually drawing from the wells of salvation.

2 Corinthians 11:3

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

A symptom of a deprived time with the Lord is that a person is troubled and worried about many things. The things of this world are choking the words of God out of that person. They are choking the time with God out of that person. Jesus says, “Don’t worry”. But a worry-free life won’t become a reality for anyone who does not spend quality time with the Lord experiencing the grace of being truly one of those who “abides” in Him.

John 15:3-8

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

It is the abiding in Him that makes the difference. Apart from Him we can do nothing.

It is the dwelling and abiding that produces the worry-free life. It is when we find that our life is hidden with God in Christ that the things of this world lose hold on us. When we can turn our minds heavenward and desire the things of heaven, being more conscious of the things of heaven, then we can move into a place of faith and expectancy of good. God is good. If our earthly fathers give good gifts then how much more will He give the best gifts to us? Faith is a full expectancy of God’s goodness to be manifest in our lives and in the earth. Without faith it is impossible to please Him. So becoming a person of His Presence is primary to walk in a place that brings Him pleasure. Time in His Presence cannot be taken from you. The eternal reward is there being place in your spirit and being stored up for you in heaven. Make a commitment to spend that time with Him in full devotion to His heart.

Ambassador for Christ

Ambassador for Christ

@Gloria Copeland

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ.... – 2 Corinthians 5:20

You are an ambassador for Christ! If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you have been sent to act as a representative for Him in this world. Just as nations send ambassadors to represent their interests in other countries, you've been sent here to look after the interests of the kingdom of God.

Think about that. Everywhere you go you are representing the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That's a very high honor. It may also seem like a rather tall bill to fill. But God has equipped you to do it. He's given you His Name and the power of His Word. He's even put His very own Spirit inside you. And He's given you the ability to hear and obey the directions of that Spirit.

I heard a prophecy years ago that said there would come a time when men on the earth would walk and talk and act like God. They'd be motivated by His power and His Spirit so strongly that people would say of them, "Look at those believers. They think they're God." "No," the Holy Spirit said, "they are not God. They are agents of God, children of God, ambassadors of God, sent to do the works of God."

I believe we're living in the day and hour that prophecy was talking about. We're seeing that army of light begin to grow.

This is no time to be half-consecrated and half-dedicated. This is the time to go all the way with God, to give Him your whole life. If you'll do that, He'll give you back such anointing and such power and such glory and goodness that you'll shine for Him, as Philippians 2:15 says, as lights in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.

Begin to think about yourself today, not as just another ordinary man or woman but as an ambassador of Almighty God. Let the interests of His kingdom be foremost in your mind and heart. Submit yourself to Him and say, "Lord, show me how to be Your representative in everything I do."

You are an ambassador for Christ. Begin to live like it today.

Lord I thirst for You

I Thirst for You

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock… (Rev. 3, 20)

Jesus Crucified

It is true. I stand at the door of your heart, day and night. Even when you are not listening, even when you doubt it could be Me, I am there. I await even the smallest sign of your response, even the least whispered invitation that will allow Me to enter.

And I want you to know that whenever you invite Me, I do come – always, without fail. Silent and unseen I come, but with infinite power and love, and bringing the many gifts of My Spirit. I come with My mercy, with My desire to forgive and heal you, and with a love for you beyond your comprehension – a love every bit as great as the love I have received from the Father ("As much as the Father has loved me, I have loved you…" (Jn. 15:10) I come - longing to console you and give you strength, to lift you up and bind all your wounds. I bring you My light, to dispel your darkness and all your doubts. I come with My power, that I might carry you and all your burdens; with My grace, to touch your heart and transform your life; and My peace I give to still your soul.

I know you through and through. I know everything about you. The very hairs of your head I have numbered. Nothing in your life is unimportant to Me. I have followed you through the years, and I have always loved you – even in your wanderings. I know every one of your problems. I know your needs and your worries. And yes, I know all your sins. But I tell you again that I love you – not for what you have or haven’t done – I love you for you, for the beauty and dignity My Father gave you by creating you in His own image. It is a dignity you have often forgotten, a beauty you have tarnished by sin. But I love you as you are, and I have shed My Blood to win you back. If you only ask Me with faith, My grace will touch all that needs changing in your life, and I will give you the strength to free yourself from sin and all its destructive power.

I know what is in your heart – I know your loneliness and all your hurts – the rejections, the judgments, the humiliations, I carried it all before you. And I carried it all for you, so you might share My strength and victory. I know especially your need for love – how you are thirsting to be loved and cherished. But how often have you thirsted in vain, by seeking that love selfishly, striving to fill the emptiness inside you with passing pleasures – with the even greater emptiness of sin. Do you thirst for love? "Come to Me all you who thirst…" (Jn. 7: 37). I will satisfy you and fill you. Do you thirst to be cherished? I cherish you more than you can imagine – to the point of dying on a cross for you.

I Thirst for You. Yes, that is the only way to even begin to describe My love for you. I THIRST FOR YOU. I thirst to love you and to be loved by you – that is how precious you are to Me. I THIRST FOR YOU. Come to Me, and I will fill your heart and heal your wounds. I will make you a new creation, and give you peace, even in all your trials I THIRST FOR YOU. You must never doubt My mercy, My acceptance of you, My desire to forgive, My longing to bless you and live My life in you. I THIRST FOR YOU. If you feel unimportant in the eyes of the world, that matters not at all. For Me, there is no one any more important in the entire world than you. I THIRST FOR YOU. Open to Me, come to Me, thirst for Me, give me your life – and I will prove to you how important you are to My Heart.

Don’t you realize that My Father already has a perfect plan to transform your life, beginning from this moment? Trust in Me. Ask Me every day to enter and take charge of your life. – and I will. I promise you before My Father in heaven that I will work miracles in your life. Why would I do this? Because I THIRST FOR YOU. All I ask of you is that you entrust yourself to Me completely. I will do all the rest.

Even now I behold the place My Father has prepared for you in My Kingdom. Remember that you are a pilgrim in this life, on a journey home. Sin can never satisfy you, or bring the peace you seek. All that you have sought outside of Me has only left you more empty, so do not cling to the things of this life. Above all, do not run from Me when you fall. Come to Me without delay. When you give Me your sins, you gave Me the joy of being your Savior. There is nothing I cannot forgive and heal; so come now, and unburden your soul.

No matter how far you may wander, no matter how often you forget Me, no matter how many crosses you may bear in this life; there is one thing I want you to always remember, one thing that will never change. I THIRST FOR YOU – just as you are. You don’t need to change to believe in My love, for it will be your belief in My love that will change you. You forget Me, and yet I am seeking you every moment of the day – standing at the door of your heart and knocking. Do you find this hard to believe? Then look at the cross, look at My Heart that was pierced for you. Have you not understood My cross? Then listen again to the words I spoke there – for they tell you clearly why I endured all this for you: "I THIRST…"(Jn 19: 28). Yes, I thirst for you – as the rest of the psalm – verse I was praying says of Me: "I looked for love, and I found none…" (Ps. 69: 20). All your life I have been looking for your love – I have never stopped seeking to love you and be loved by you. You have tried many other things in your search for happiness; why not try opening your heart to Me, right now, more than you ever have before.

Whenever you do open the door of your heart, whenever you come close enough, you will hear Me say to you again and again, not in mere human words but in spirit. "No matter what you have done, I love you for your own sake Come to Me with your misery and your sins, with your troubles and needs, and with all your longing to be loved. I stand at the door of your heart and knock. Open to Me, for I THIRST FOR YOU…"

"Jesus is God, therefore His love, His Thirst, is infinite. He the creator of the universe,

asked for the love of His creatures.

He thirst for our love… These words:

‘I Thirst’ –

Do they echo in our souls?”
